چکیده
Cichorium intybus and Portulaca oleracea plants native to the north Africa, especially in Egypt have been chosen for such study due their importance both as food medical treating several common diseases. The present analyzes chemical phytochemical constituentes of evaluates therapeutic roles on liver, kidney functions complete blood count H2O2 intoxicated rats. Six groups experimental animals are fed basal diet, five them with drinking water then treated extracts. This shows that total phenolics flavonoids contents extracts higher than extracts. Cichorium extract at orally dose 75 mg/kg bw improve normalize hematological parameters. It also decreases MDA level, increases SOD CAT activities. Cichorium has hepatorenal protective effect it can protect tissue from free radicals may provide a cushion prolonged option against liver diseases without harmful side effects.
